About me
Who is Natalie Pikul?
Natalie Pikul is an author, a resin and mixed media artist, an industrial engineer, and a certified vocational trainer (AEVO). She combines creative work with knowledge and technology, from Resin Art and books to social media and AI. You can read more about her path on the About page.
Safe Resin Art
What is Safe Resin Art about?
Safe Resin Art is a safety handbook for anyone who works with epoxy resin. The book explains in plain language what matters when handling epoxy resin, which protective measures make sense, and which risks are often underestimated. It also brings in the experience of more than 25 Resin Artists and woodworkers.
Who is the book for?
For anyone who works with epoxy resin or wants to get started: Resin Artists, DIYers, woodworkers, and creatives, from your first coaster to a river table, and from a hobby project to running your own workshop.
What formats is the book available in?
The German edition is available as a printed book and as an e-book. The English edition is available as an e-book on Amazon Kindle as well as PDF and EPUB, and the Spanish edition as PDF and EPUB. All current retailers are listed on the respective book page.
Where can I buy the book?
You’ll find all current retailers on the book page: for the German edition right here, for the English edition on the English book page, and for the Spanish edition on the Spanish book page.
Is the book available in English?
Yes. The English edition is available as an e-book, including on Amazon Kindle as well as PDF and EPUB via Gumroad. All retailers are listed on the English book page.
Why does the e-book have a fixed layout?
Safe Resin Art is deliberately designed as a visual book with two-page spreads, photo sequences, and fixed image-and-text compositions. The fixed layout keeps that design intact digitally, too. On tablets, landscape view is recommended so that two pages appear side by side.
Will the book be available in more languages?
Yes. Besides German, Safe Resin Art is available in English and Spanish. More language editions are in progress. Once dates are set, they will appear on the respective book page.
Was AI used for the translation?
The original text of Safe Resin Art was written by Natalie Pikul. AI was used as a tool for the translation. The author then reviewed and revised the translated editions.
Resin Art & Knowledge
What is Elementa Nova?
Elementa Nova is the name of the channels where Natalie Pikul shows art made from epoxy resin and mixed media: pieces, techniques, materials, and projects, plus knowledge about working with epoxy resin responsibly. You’ll find the channels on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok as @elementa_nova.
What is Epoxy Resin Knowledge?
Epoxy Resin Knowledge is this website’s knowledge hub. There, Natalie Pikul answers individual questions about epoxy resin and working safely in more depth than an FAQ allows. It’s based on her research for Safe Resin Art and the sources given with each answer.
Do I always need to wear a respirator when working with epoxy resin?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Which protective measures are needed depends on the product you’re using, the task, the ventilation, and what the safety data sheet says. You’ll find a detailed explanation in the article Which Respirator for Epoxy Resin?
Do the book and the website replace professional advice?
No. The book and the website provide general information and don’t replace individual medical, occupational safety, or product-specific advice. Always check the safety data sheet and the manufacturer’s instructions, and follow the regulations that apply where you work.
Collaboration & Press
Do you work with brands?
Yes. Depending on the project, I work with brands, manufacturers, retailers, publishers, and other partners, for example on UGC and creator content, social media collaborations, product integrations, photo and video production, guest articles, or workshops. Details and the request form are on the Collaboration page.
