Artist Statement

The shine doesn’t interest me.
What interests me is what lies beneath it.

Epoxy resin draws the eye with light, depth, color, and an almost perfect surface. But beauty alone isn’t enough for me. I want to create work that only begins at second glance.

That’s why I work in layers. I combine epoxy resin with natural materials, flowers, pigments, paint, and different textures. Some elements stay visible. Others almost disappear and only come back when the light, the angle, or the distance changes.

For me, depth doesn’t come from the material alone. It also comes from knowledge. I wanted to understand what I was working with, what epoxy resin actually is, and what handling it responsibly means. That’s why protection, knowledge, and care are as much a part of my work as color and composition.

My work isn’t meant only to please. It’s meant to make you look more closely. Because what’s interesting often begins exactly where the surface ends.
